Podcast Guest Registration and Media Release
On victoriahansen.com I produce a number of podcasts, most of which are interviews. As such, I require interviewees, or guests to participate.
My podcasts are conducted via Skype. I’d prefer you to use a USB headset if possible as the audio quality will be much better and doesn’t detract from the content being discussed. If you’re unable to use a USB headset I can still do the interview using your computer speakers. Please however, do not try to use plugin headsets as they do not register with Skype and I cannot tape your voice track.
NB: I WILL NOT CONDUCT INTERVIEW PODCASTS WITH YOU IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SKYPE. PHONE QUALITY RECORDINGS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS THEY DISTORT BOTH OUR VOICES. SKYPE IS FREE TO DOWNLOAD AND EASY TO SET UP.
And really important, you must make sure you are in a very quiet location, especially if you are using the computer speakers. Ideally a room which has carpet or mats on the floor. Definitly do not attempt to do a recording from your work place; the background noise completely cancels out the audio. For this reason, scheduling your poscast before or after work hours is generally the best option.
I will attempt to work in with you time wise but if you live in a different time zone, you will need to be available during Australian waking hours – 7am to 9pm AEST.
Interviews are typically between 8-10 minutes long, although some have gone over when the topic and discussion are compelling. Plan to be available for 20-30 minutes so I can have a chat with you either side of the recording.
You must also agree to the media release clause below before I will record the podcast. Please read it carefully before filling in the form fields and submitting.
If your podcast is about a book you’ve written or a poduct you’ve developed or distribute, I will require a copy of the book, sample of the product or access to the beta version if it’s an online product before the podcast so that I can review it. Please post products to me once you submit the form, the my postal address below, or provide a link to the beta version of your online product in the form below.

I do hereby grant Victoria Hansen and VLH Enterprises Pty Ltd, the right to record and make available on the World Wide Web, via the Internet, any interviews with me recorded for the purpose of podcasting via the victoriahansen.com or any other websites and/or multimedia’s VLH Enterprises Pty Ltd and Victoria Hansen are affiliated with, or own.
I understand that the recordings may be used by Victoria Hansen and VLH Enterprises Pty Ltd and its affiliates for various purposes without my express written or verbal permission, and may be made available behind locked website sections which may incur subscription fees for members.
I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished version(s) of such productions including written copy that may be created in connections with them.
And I understand I will not be paid for the recordings or the broadcast of them now, or in the future, and acknowledge that in return for my participation in the recordings I will be acknowledged in the recordings and a link will be provided to my website or email address or product landing page from victoriahansen.com and/or its affiliates.
I also acknowledge I will not be given the raw or poduced files but will be provided with direct links to them which I can add to my own site should I choose to do so.
If you DO NOT agree to this media release, please DO NOT bother registering as a podcast guest. I will not conduct podcasts with anyone who does not agree to the media release.
