KPI's
Following the conclusion of my Contract at Oxley College, I made the deliberate choice to remain within the education sector. Subsequently, I secured a temporary relief teaching position at Moss Vale High School with the primary objective of comprehensively exploring contemporary education practices. Freed from the responsibilities of lesson preparation, my aim was to develop and refine skills in learning differentiation, teacher professional learning, and instructional technology coaching. The dynamic environment of a busy high school presented an opportunity to strategically identify where my specific skill set and expertise could be most effectively utilised.

This endeavour yielded positive results, as my multifaceted skills and expertise proved to be a valuable asset to the school. In addition to conducting relief lessons across all Key Learning Areas (KLAs), I took on the coordination of all mandatory government testing related to numeracy and literacy, encompassing assessments such as NAPLAN, Best Start, and Checkin. During the COVID lockdowns, I assumed responsibility for producing virtual assemblies and assisted teachers in navigating remote learning through the recently adopted Canvas LMS platform. Upon the return to face-to-face teaching, I continued to coordinated our live assemblies.

A noteworthy achievement during this period was the attainment of the Canvas Certified Educator status from Instructure, the entity behind the Canvas LMS. Furthermore, in 2024, I am currently in the process of completing the Canvas Certified Technical Admin course.

Building on these certifications, I have actively contributed to professional learning initiatives at the school, particularly focusing on the effective use of the Canvas LMS in course design, differentiated learning, and the integration of external technologies.

In the domain of professional development, my commitment goes beyond keeping pace; it involves leading and shaping the trajectory of technological advancements in education. Staying current with new technologies remains a priority, with a particular emphasis on Canvas Course and Lesson Development. Additionally, I have extended my expertise by offering Instructional Technology Coaching to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and tech-savvy educational community.
